A 5-day retreat with Patrick Gaffney
From Wednesday 5 March to Sunday 9 March 2014
Open to Everyone
Learning to cultivate our natural capacity for kindness
Although kindness and compassion are basic human qualities, it is not always easy to embody them in our lives, especially in today's hectic, fast-paced world.
The good news is that we can cultivate compassion for ourselves, and those around us—at home, at work and in every aspect of our lives.
These five days are a unique opportunity to explore compassion with Patrick Gaffney in the wonderful environment of Lerab Ling.
With great clarity, warmth and humour, Patrick skilfully guides people through the teachings and practices, and shows how these can be applied to our everyday life.
This retreat will unravel some of the myths about compassion and reveal how through cultivating our natural capacity for compassion, we can discover the strength and resilience to meet challenges head-on and to lead more meaningful and fulfilling lives.
Everyone is welcome
Our exploration of empathy and compassion will include instruction in a rich range of investigative and contemplative practices from the Buddhist tradition but will be conducted in a spirit of open enquiry and so will be relevant for those of any spiritual tradition or none.
A Note to Instructors
All Rigpa instructors are also warmly encouraged to join this retreat. For more information about instructor training, please contact your TS director.
