Lerab Ling is home to a growing community of monks and nuns who, under the guidance of Sogyal Rinpoche, are following the Nyingma tradition of Tibetan Buddhism. The community have a daily routine of prayer and meditation and, as an offering of work, they are involved in activities such as ceremonies and rituals, the filling of sacred images, translation, the preparation of practice and teaching material, assisting Sogyal Rinpoche and other teachers who visit Lerab Ling, caring for sangha members, offering spiritual support and so on.

Since the time of the Buddha, there has been a close, interdependent relationship between the monastic sangha and the laity.  It is because of the vision and kindness of generous patrons and benefactors who cherished the Buddhist teachings as a great gift and source of benefit to humanity that this extraordinary lineage of wisdom has survived to the present day and continues to benefit a countless number of people.

If you make a donation in the true spirit of generosity towards the support of the monastic community, it is said that these offerings can help to create positive circumstances in your own life and spiritual path. Moreover, if your donation is dedicated in the name of a family member, friend or loved one, the benefit of such offerings is multiplied.

Should you decide to sponsor the community with a regular donation of 1 Euro per day (or more if you can afford it), in keeping with the traditional link between sponsors and monastics, the monastic community will include you in their practice. Also, each year, you will receive news of the monastic sangha's activities. It will also be possible to meet in Lerab Ling during the main summer retreat. 

A donation of any amount is graciously accepted. All money offered goes into a Monastic Fund so that all of the nuns and monks are fed, clothed, housed and cared for.
