Sponsor our monks and nuns at Lerab Ling...

...and practice generosity and accumulate merit

Lerab Ling is home to a thriving community of monastic practitioners who observe a daily schedule of prayer and meditation, following one of the most ancient lineages of the Tibetan Buddhist tradition (the Nyingma school).

The monks and nuns contribute to the life and activities of Lerab Ling in different ways. According to each one’s experience and training, they help by organizing retreats, studying Buddhist texts, performing rituals or leading practice.

It is a time-honoured tradition in Buddhism to make offerings to the ordained spiritual community (Sangha). According to the teachings of the Buddha himself, this is an especially meaningful way to practice generosity and accumulate merit.

You are invited to make a donation online to our monks and nuns at Lerab Ling. This is a wonderful opportunity for us all to express our support and appreciation for the noble path being followed by our monastic community, and to encourage them in their life of discipline and practice.

Thank you for your generosity!

“What is the treasure of generosity? A disciple of the Noble Ones, his awareness cleansed of the stain of stinginess, living at home, freely generous, openhanded, delighting in being magnanimous, responsive to requests, delighting in the distribution of alms. This is called the treasure of generosity.”
Shakyamuni Buddha, The Dana Sutra
