Volunteering during the summer retreats
(June – September)
If you would like to participate in the summer retreats while helping the teams in charge of event organisation, site maintenance, IT / audio/video, accommodation and catering.

Temple and event logistics manager
(April - October)
The logistics manager is responsible for the practical and logistical side of all of the events and programmes that happen in the Temple. He or she will need to create the right environment for the teachings, presentations or practices to take place and will help to co-ordinate all the necessary elements for them to succeed: this involves Temple set up, seating set up, cleaning and security, stewarding and radio maintenance and distribution. The logistics manager will work under the direction of the event manager within the programmes department. During retreats in Lerab Ling the logistics manager holds a vital role within the event team. It is essential to have good organizational and communication skills, as well as the ability to work well in a team. Spoken English is essential, French is desirable.

Event Manager/Assistant Event Manager
(A few weekends a year and/or during the summer events)
The event manager/assistant event manager has the whole overview of an event - both from the participants point of view, as well as from the view of the different teams who work together to make the event happen. He or she knows what is going on everywhere at all times during an event and communicates appropriately among the different teams. He or she holds the daily schedule and makes sure it is communicated to all areas and to the participants.  He or she must have good management and organizational skills, be good with people and to be able to hold many details.  Spoken English is essential and French is desirable.

Help in the welcome and registration team
(May August)
We are looking for 2 people to help the welcome and registration team. Your responsibilities include administrative tasks such as preparation for arrival and departure days, computer record keeping and assistance in the registration office. We expect you to have good customer service skills, and be able to work in a very dynamic environment, particularly on the arrival day of an event.
The specific requirements for the 2 positions are:
- "fluent Spanish" ( native Spanish, plus spoken and written English or French)
- "fluent German" ( native German or Swiss, plus spoken and written English or French)

Volunteering in the chöpön area (Rituals)
(April - June)
This is an opportunity to work in the sacred environment of the temple and help with Offerings.
We need one or two people from begin of April until mid of June to help out with our daily activities and around events. The period of time could be extended into the summer retreats.
We need people who are strong and healthy, mindful, skilled with their hands, effective, structured and practical. Previous experience in a chöpön team is useful but not necessary. A drivers licence would be preferable.

Guest kitchen manager
(June - October)
The hospitality department is looking for a Fulltime manager for it’s guest kitchen. He or She would manage the timetables of kitchen workers, manage food orders and deliveries as well as cooking for our guests a few shifts per week. This position requires some experience in professional kitchen and good organisation skills.

IT support & system administrator

The IT supporter/administrator helps to maintain and improve client/server operations in Lerab Ling thus making a very valuable contribution to Rigpa’s work by ensuring that all the necessary IT equipment and IT services are at hand for all staff members.

The main focus lies in daily user support on a hardware and software level as well as making sure that all related IT services such as file & print, email, Internet access etc. are fully operational. Expertise in basic server administration and website maintenance is not required but is seen as a distinct advantage.

The successful candidate is a good communicator understanding and answering the needs of his customers, is flexible and versatile and has professional experience in the maintenance and improvement of heterogeneous client/server environments (Mac/Windows and Linux). Good English skills are mandatory.
