24 July - 3 August 2013, Lamrim Yeshe Nyingpo retreat with Orgyen Tobgyal Rinpoche

For those who have attended the previous years of these teachings

Orgyen Tobgyal Rinpoche

For the fourth consecutive summer, Orgyen Tobgyal Rinpoche will continue his extraordinary teachings on Padmasambhava’s Lamrim Yeshe Nyingpo,The Gradual Path of the Wisdom Essence’. Revealed in the late nineteenth century by Chokgyur Dechen Lingpa and Jamyang Khyentse Wangpo, and further commented upon by Jamgon Kongtrul Lodrö Thayé, this text condenses the entire path to enlightenment.

It is the gyabchö or definitive instruction for the whole Rinchen Terdzö, the vast treasury of precious termas gathered by Jamgon Kongtrul, and hence it is used by many great masters as the main source, the manual and the true guide for all their teachings.

In Paris, in the early days of Rigpa, Kyabje Dudjom Rinpoche always emphasized the importance of the Lamrim Yeshe Nyingpo, and even began to teach it to Sogyal Rinpoche. Rinpoche is very joyful that what Dudjom Rinpoche commenced so auspiciously all those years ago is finally coming to fruition. Now that the Three Year Retreat is concluded, and so many precious Dzogchen mengak teachings have been given, the Lamrim Yeshe Nyingpo will complete and seal the blessings of all that has been accomplished so far.

We are especially fortunate to have Orgyen Tobgyal Rinpoche as our guide for these teachings. According to Dzongsar Khyentse Rinpoche, there is no living master more highly qualified and uniquely gifted to transmit the Lamrim Yeshe Nyingpo than Orgyen Tobgyal Rinpoche.

There is no doubt that these teachings will be extraordinary and are destined to be extremely significant for the future of the entire Rigpa Sangha. Just as the Three Year Retreat was at the heart of Rigpa’s activity over the last decade, the Lamrim Yeshe Nyingpo teachings will be the main focus of the Rigpa Sangha for the next few years. Do not miss them!
