In the stillness and silence of retreat, we glimpse and return to that deep inner nature that we have so long ago lost sight of amid the busyness and distraction of our minds.
You may come to Lerab Ling for a personal retreat during the following periods:
You will be provided with accommodation of an individual room and with all the necessary support to make the best use of this precious time in retreat. You can choose when you wish to begin and how long you will stay, (subject to availability).
Personal retreat can be an invaluable way of “intensifying” your home retreat in the perfect retreat environment of Lerab Ling. You may continue to follow the home retreat programme (transmissions or the parallel programme) and, at the same time, deepen your personal practice over a period ranging from two days to one month. You will receive advice on setting up your personal study and practice schedule. And, if you wish, you may join the practising sangha for daily group practices in the temple. From the 15th of September 2010, Lerab Ling will be offering the possibility of long retreats -- from one month to one year – to Rigpa students who want to accomplish their Ngöndro or Nyenpa practices.
Lerab Ling welcomes anyone who wishes a contemplative pause in life, respecting the spiritual tradition of each individual. Before you arrive, an instructor talk with you to help you determine whether a personal retreat is the best option for you, or if another type of retreat would be more suitable.
