Children are allowed only during certain retreats. Please see the page for each event

If you come with your children (to a retreat that is open to children), we recommend you contact the parents’ association «Rigpé Yeshé» in each instance. Rigpé Yeshé will be able to inform you about their programme and other services provided for parents (list of baby sitters, special sessions, etc…).

Registration

All children (from 0 to 18 years old) who come to Lerab Ling (to a retreat that is open to children) must be registered with Lerab Ling, whether they are enrolled in the Rigpa Yeshé programme or not.
To do so, please fill out a registration form for each child

General Advice

•    Your children should be accompanied by an adult at all times, and cannot be left unattended.
•    Be aware that you will probably have to miss certain sessions of the retreat.
•    Because of the climate, we strongly discourage camping at this altitude with very young children.
•    Lerab Ling being a retreat centre, there is no place for children to indulge in noisy play.

Rigpé Yeshé Programme

Rigpé Yeshé, the association of parents that organizes a programme for children at Lerab Ling, can accept children from 4 to 16 years of age, but capacity is limited.

For more information about Rigpa Yeshé activities, conditions and enrollment, please visit their website: rigpeyeshe.rigpa.org

For children not enrolled in the Rigpé Yeshé Programme

Please be aware that in spite of our best efforts, it is difficult for you to really participate in a retreat if your children are not enrolled in the Rigpa Yeshé programme.

•    We have neither infrastructure for children, nor toys, outside of the Rigpa Yeshé programme.

•    If you have a baby sitter to take care of your children, he or she should be able to adapt to the ever changing schedule of the retreat.

Parental Responsibility

Parents are responsible for their children at all times. Children should be accompanied by an adult at all times. Parents will be required to sign a waiver of responsibility on the children’s registration forms.
