Lerab Ling is located 1 hour and 15 minutes by car from Montpellier (the largest train station and airport in the area) and 15 minutes by car from Lodève (the closest bus station).

COMING FROM MONTPELLIER

Transportation organized by Lerab Ling. On the opening day of some retreats, Lerab Ling offers a shuttle service from the Montpellier airport and train station. Please consult the page for each event to see the dates and times available.

Public Transportation from Montpellier. Public buses "Hérault Transport". Regular bus service runs between Montpellier and Lodève (15 kilometres from Lerab Ling). The trip to Lodève costs 1€50. From there, you can take a taxi to Lerab Ling (15 kilometres). Timetable of the public buses Montpellier-Lodève

COMING BY TRAIN

Montpellier SNCF train station (Gare St-Roch) is the largest train station near Lerab Ling. Book your ticket. Tip: From the SNCF train station, you can go to the Bus station (Gare routière) located nearby, or you can take another form of transportation to Lerab Ling. See Section Coming from Montpellier.

A small train station is located near Ceilhes, a few minutes by car from Lerab Ling: line Millau -Béziers, which includes departures from Montpellier. But, attention, there is no public transport from Ceilhes to Lerab Ling and few cars to hitchike.The train station is located in between Ceilhes and Roqueredonde. Departures & stops only (no kiosk).

COMING BY PLANE

From Montpellier airport. The closest airport is located in Montpellier.

Journey from Montpellier to Lodève: one hour 15 minutes by car. For recommended transportation to go to Lerab Ling, see section Coming from Montpellier. Tip: If you want to take the public bus to go to Lerab Ling there is a regular shuttle bus from the airport to the city centre. The airport shuttle will take you as far as the tramway station Léon Blum. From there you will need to take the tram three stops to the Gare Routière (bus station). The journey takes 35 minutes and cost 6€30. Taxis are also available to go directly from Montpellier airport to the Gare Routière (bus station).

From Rodez airport. The airport in Rodez offers inexpensive daily flights from several importants european towns.

Journey from Rodez to Lerab Ling: approximately 3 hours. Recommended transportation: from the airport in Rodez, you can take a taxi to the bus station in Rodez and then a bus to Lodeve (15 km from Lerab Ling). The buses from Rodez to Lodeve run from Monday to Saturday at 7.00, 8.40, and 12.05, Sundays at 17.30. You can then take a taxi from Lodeve bus station to Lerab Ling (see section Taxis).

From Marseille airport. Major airlines operate inexpensive flights from a number of major European cities such as Amsterdam to the International airport in Marseille.

Journey from Marseille to Lerab Ling: approximately 3 hours. Recommended transportation: you can either rent a car at the Marseille airport or take the shuttle bus which runs between the airport and the Marseille train station. High speed train service (TGV) is available between Marseille and Montpellier. Book your ticket. From Montpellier you can take the shuttle organised by Lerab Ling or a bus to Lodève (see section Coming from Montpellier).

COMING BY CAR

From Paris. Coming via Clermont Ferrand and Millau on autoroute A75, take exit number 49, 'Le Caylar'. Go towards Les Rives, then take the road to Lunas. The entrance to Lerab Ling is 6 kilometres from Les Rives, just before the road forks toward Roqueredonde.

From Spain, Perpignan or Toulouse. Take the A9 motorway, and then the A75 towards Millau. After Lodeve take exit number 49 at Le Caylar and head towards Les Rives. From there, take the road sign-posted to Lunas. It takes about 20 minutes to drive from Le Caylar to Lerab Ling. The entrance for Lerab Ling is on the right, just before the road branches towards Roqueredonde.

From Montpellier. Take the A75 motorway in the direction of Millau and Lodeve. After Lodeve, take exit number 49, 'Le Caylar', and then follow signs to Les Rives, where you follow the road towards Lunas. It takes about 20 minutes from Le Caylar to Lerab Ling. The entrance of Lerab Ling is on the right, just before the road branches off to Roqueredonde.

From Lodève. The safest route is to leave Lodève following the Lunas road (D35) all the way up. At the pass (at the top, before the road goes down to Lunas) turn right in the direction of Roqueredonde (D142). Follow this road for about 10 minutes. Do not take the split on the left in the road towards Roqueredonde. After you just pass this split, you will find the entrance to Lerab Ling on your left. Please be cautious entering, as cars may be coming from the other direction.
