Online Youth Summer Retreat

Fearlessly Facing Ourselves and the World

| PUBLIC | YOUTH | MEDITATION |

Our world is changing, and it’s changing fast – the Covid-19 situation, climate crisis, political developments and social inequalities are just some of the issues we face, on top of the everyday struggles of being a young adult. How can we relate to those challenges from an inner source of inspiration and joy? Could there be a way to surf the waves rather than fighting against them?

During this five-day Youth Retreat we will investigate how we can find a ground within ourselves in order to relate to the world outside in a strong and balanced way. We will be exploring these questions through reflection and practice grounded in Buddhism, as well as through creative expression, exchange and discussion.

Let us - together - create a space of friendship and openness that zooms across the world riding on the rays of love and the internet.

Everyone aged between 18 and 35 is welcome. If you have any questions, or if you are not sure if this event is for you, please don’t hesitate to contact us! This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

About the format
The sessions of the retreat will happen via Zoom. You can either follow the retreat on your own or with a group. This retreat is not officially organized in different locations but we are facilitating the process of people getting together if they wish. Please fill out this form so we can get an idea of where you would like to join from.

A note about Lerab Ling: Given the Covid-19 situation, it is not yet clear if people could gather in Lerab Ling to follow the retreat from there, but we will let you know if and when it is an option.

Who are we?
We are a group of young(-ish) people from pretty much all over the world who share an interest in meditation and Buddhism. Each of us has found in our personal experience that meditation can bring a little more space and a little more kindness to our everyday life.
